About the Artist

Noiredelatour, of her real name Kelly Paulémon, is a content writer and photographer based in Port-au-Prince, Haiti.

Her work primarily focuses on crystallizing Haitian life in its human and nature forms. She prizes capturing the every day life of Haitians, in all of their colors. Her portraits and landscape work bring forth the vibrancy of a Haiti – and its people – too often dulled down and tarnished. She strives to uplift and reframe the story of her homeland.

In writing, Kelly’s work is vast, but still poignant. She publishes original content on her website, where she explores different dimensions of writing. Her knack for wording, for pulling emotion, and for vividly painting scenes and people cuts through the page.

As a native speaker – and writer – of French, English, and Haitian Creole, she delivers brilliantly on original and translated work in any of those three languages.

She is currently working on a collection of short stories which will be released in 2019
