I want to lead other Haitians into this positive mindset so we can work together for a bigger cause. I also want to inspire kids with dreams to not give up in what they believe in. Everything is possible, its just a matter of hard work and a bit of luck(an opportunity/an opening). Once this opportunity presents itself one must be ready to grab onto and make the best of it.”

Ghael Jean-Louis, a 23 year old fashion and fitness model, was born and raised in Port-au-Prince.

Early in his childhood, Ghael already had a love for physical activities, sports and art.

Motorcross being a family tradition, also became one of his passions, where he began riding at the age of 7. He also drew, sang, and took part in theatrical plays at 17. His modeling career started not long after, beginning with photo-shoots with friends solely for fun.

A very motivated artist, his objective in life is not only to always move forward, but to continuously work towards his goal, and through that, bring a positive impact in his society. Therefore, one of the most important issues he wishes to change is Haiti's negative display on the news. He feels the country has much to offer, from its rich arts, to its exquisite cuisine, its sandy beaches and underground caves.

While modeling has had its ups and downs for Ghael, he has had the opportunity to participate in the making of music videos such as "Feeling" by Darline Desca, as one of the main actors, "OSPPLT" by Olivier Martelly; and has posed for various Haitian brands such as Player Clothing, David Andre Collection, HighLifeKreyasyon, and Loko Haiti. In 2015, he even participated in Haitian Fashion Week, where he collaborated with Haitian and International designers.

He categorizes one of his best experiences as being Mister Haiti for the first time, in the Mister Model pageant that was held in India. That year [2017], he’d been working on self improvement, and his degree in politics. Through that experience, he was able to come back with a bang, thus announcing his return to the scene in Summer 2018. On August 4th, Jean-Louis made history by becoming the only Haitian male model to be Mister Haiti twice.

Ghael Jean Louis is proud to be an ambassador of his country while still at his peak, and believes he has the potential to be one of the best.
